If only we could comfortably stream online content in the office...'Breakfast with Twin B' has got to be my favourite morning show..such a 'pick-er up-er'
Anywho thought I'd post some tunes of some African Artists that are just 'hmm yelz!' :-p
The first video is Dipo and Efya...with Efya putting a spin on Dipo's - Be your man ...it's a rough recording but does highlight Efya's vocal talent...
You can listen to the original song and the video here - listen with good speakers :)
The next is hehe well another Ghanaian artist called M.anifest. I heard this song some time back and was like 'hmm...I like'. I have listened to it more recently and thought I'd post it here...M.anifest - Suffer:
Still in West Africa we have Nneka's 'Shining Star'...just a good tune :-)
Enjoy...
Hehe now going further South and well who can forget Liquideep :-) ... Two of my favourite songs: Alone and Still are just....tamu! :-) ...these guys make good music sans profanity; just all round feel good music...
Alone:
Still:
Going back to Ghana, this video was made for Channel O to celebrate Ghana's 55th Independence Day this year. I love the music, the aesthetic and the message of this song. I want to go to Ghana now :-p.
Enjoy...Happy Birthday Ghana:
Hehe so now I cannot forget East Africa :-). One artist's album I cannot wait for is Fena's. An up-and-coming artist and from what I have heard so far...the album is going to be a sweet mixture of great vocals and *shhhhh* music; very diverse yet connected. Definitely an album to look out for!
On to a video...it has to be Just a Band. These guys are just creative minds great music, video concepts and overall funtimes. Over Boxing Day they came out with a 'Boxing Day Special' featuring other great local artists. It starts off with Just a Band, Karun from Camp Mulla and Harry Kimani with their version of 'O Holy Night'.
Enjoy...
Last but not least the musical genius of Kato and Jacob. This is just for pure eargasms...*shhhhhhh*
Enjoy...
xx
